Circle of Care Endowment
ESTABLISH THE FIRST “CIRCLE OF CARE” ENDOWMENT to ensure long-term, sustained support for health and well-being in City Heights.
Strong partnerships and philanthropic support are needed if we are to reach and sustain our goals for the future. The new Circle of Care Endowment will be the first endowment fund of its kind in the City Heights community – ensuring that every resident has access to health and the resources needed to maintain well-being for today and for generations to come.
To build sustainable resources, La Maestra Community Health Centers understands the need for stable, permanent sources of funding, particularly in an era of such unpredictable financial reimbursements from city, state and federal sources. The Circle of Care Endowment will guarantee excellence at every level of care and provides a financial foundation to protect the community from the uncertainties of the future. The Circle of Care Endowment will produce annual income that may be used to address the most urgent needs of our low-income patients or to produce new, innovative programs that can have a truly “transformational” impact on the community. The more we raise, the more we can accomplish. It is just that simple.
Strong partnerships through philanthropists such as Sol Price and Price Charities have left an indelible mark on the community and are vitally needed. More partnerships with foundations, businesses and individual philanthropists at every level will bring about new collaborations in learning, sharing and involvement. Opportunities for volunteer leadership, networking and financial support will bring about a new era of understanding not only of City Heights and its rich and dynamic culture but of the donor and business communities. There is so much to share and so much to gain for everyone who will be involved.
La Maestra Community Health Centers is committed to building strong sustainable resources for the future. No longer can we put our residents at risk in a never-ending struggle to patch together needed resources not knowing what the future will bring. The “La Maestra Heart of the Community Campaign” will provide the resources needed to sustain this extraordinary and dynamic community.

The “La Maestra Heart of the Community Campaign” provides a sensible and visionary plan for achieving a healthier community in City Heights. It will transform the lives of residents and families in ways we can only imagine today. Many of the challenges residents are facing such as access to healthcare, employment, housing and transportation to name just a few, are addressed in the Plan and will provide lasting solutions.
