La Maestra Health Care Locations
La Maestra Community Health Services has been
providing programs and services to thousands of
residents each year.
Many are immigrants and refugees -“New Americans”- that
come from more than 60 countries throughout the world.
Most have been relocated from their native countries to
City Heights but many have also settled in El Cajon,
National City and Lemon Grove.
All of these residents rely heavily on La Maestra not
only for their healthcare but for their non-medical

The residents it serves are at or below the poverty
level from the communities of:
City Heights (Central San Diego)
El Cajon (East San Diego County)
National City (South San Diego County)
Lemon Grove (South-East San Diego County)
La Maestra opened a Call Center with a Coordinator, a Triage Nurse, and nine operators to centralize all incoming appointment scheduling activities for all of La Maestra’s health center sites.
